Once upon a time Youth Exchange in Cantabria, Spain 5-15.07.2010

Would you like to spend 10 wonderful days this summer doing theatre and having fun in the Northern region of Spain, Cantabria, with amazing people like You from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Spain?

The theme of the Exchange Project Once upon a time is diversityand unity to create a world where different cultures come together, get to know each other and learn from each other; where youngsters work together in order to understand the character of each culture through the traditional stories and fairytales which show the values that existed not only in the remote times, but also nowadays. The project will take place in Cantabria (Spain) and will unite participants from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Spain four such different countries, but each one with very diverse and rich culture, that is why only by getting to know and learning from each other we can promote intercultural communication among these cultures. With the help of traditional stories represented in a piece of drama and simulation game (Game of Cultures) the youngsters will have the chance to learn how to stay united despite the cultural differences. This is the principal idea of the EU to be united through diversity. That is why this project will provide an opportunity for the youngsters to show the character and values of their cultures and all together work to create one united Europe. The exchange takes place from 5th of July to 15th of July 2010.

COST: the participant needs to pay only 30% of the transportation fees to get to Santander, Spain and back. All the other costs will be covered by the organizers of the youth exchange project.
